Tis the season…for quitting.

I quit.

I hate it.

It is the absolute most useless thing in the world and I refuse to do it anymore!

Cleaning.

I know I can’t be the only one out there who feels this way. You clean a room and then turn around and 2 minutes later you have to clean it again. I’m not a slob. I never have been and I don’t plan on starting now, but there has got to be an easier way. Amiright?!

This Thanksgiving I decided to try hosting the big feast at my house. Remind me to get my head examined, will you? Anyway, after all my family and friends were gone I was left with a great big mess. No one, NO ONE, offered to help me clean up. I’m not bitter. Not at all. <cough, cough, yes I am, cough, cough>

Well, the whole thing seemed overwhelming so I did something that I don’t do ever (mostly becauseĀ I’m a cheapskate): I hired someone to clean for me. Wait, wait, wait, I didn’t have the whole house cleaned. I couldn’t bring myself to pull that trigger quite yet. Just the carpets.

But now…Oh, now! I left to get some Christmas decorations and when I came back, my son tracked mud in from the backyard, my youngest spilled ketchup from her lunch of highly nutritious chicken nuggets, and my oldest had obviously gone blind because she failed to notice the puddle of glue she had left on the carpet from her science project that I got from Pinterest.

Oi vey!

Well, I guess this was more of a rant than anything else, but I quit.

<Deep sigh> Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go do the dishes.
